About Dr. Wiggins
James M (Jim) Wiggins has been collecting autographs with an emphasis on autographed photographs for more than 65 years and his private collection includes more than 20,000 items. As a journalist, educator and military officer, he has had access to celebrities worldwide in a variety of fields.
Wiggins is a retired publisher, editor and reporter for numerous newspapers and magazines including the Los Angeles Times, National Enquirer, West Magazine, American Association of Retired Persons, Larry Flynt Publications and the Irvine Company.
He has taught journalism at California State University at Long Beach and the Kazakhstan Institute of Management, Economics and Strategic Research in Almaty. Kazakhstan under sponsorship of the US State Department. He worked as Director of Communications at Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, California. He is a retired US Navy Commander and Qualified in submarines.
Academically, he holds a bachelor's degree in International Relations from Vanderbilt University. He has three masters degrees in Journalism, Political Science and Business Administration from University of California at Los Angeles and Berkeley and Pepperdine University. He holds a Ph.D. in Education from University of California at Los Angeles.
He is the founding Editor and Publisher of the V.I.P. Address Book and the V.I.P. Address File. He is also a 25-year member of the Universal Autographed Collectors Club and a 20-year member of the Independent Book Publishers Association.
